(SAI)First Sergeant Cedric Brown (Retired)

First Sergeant (Retired) Cedric Brown is currently the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) of Austin High School Junior Reserve Officer Program. He is native of Valdosta Georgia, and enlisted in the United States Army in April 1985. He has a Master in Business Administration from Webster University and a Bachelor's in Business Management from Park University.

First Sergeant Brown has served in many enlisted leadership position in Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Battalions throughout the Army.

Some of his assignments include 5th Battalions (BN), 62nd ADA, 5th BN, 44th ADA, at Pittsburg Air Force Base, Germany; 4th BN, 5th ADA, 1st Cavalry Division in Saudi Arabia, as a Track Commander during Operation Desert Storm; After Operation Desert Storm , 2nd BN, 3rd ADA, Fort Riley, Kansas: 4th BN, 3rd ADA, Kitzingen, Germany.

After graduating in the top 20% of his class in the USA Drill Sergeant School at Fort Jackson, SC, First Sergeant Brown was assigned to Bravo Battery, 1st BN, 56th ADA, as a Drill Sergeant and selected as Fort Bliss Drill Sergeant of the year

First Sergeant Military education includes: First Sergeant Course, Advance Non Commissioned Officer Course, and Primary Leadership Development Course.

He resides in El Paso Texas, and is married to the former Frankie L. McEady. They have two beautiful kids; Courtney and Shauntala and grandson; Xavier.

Sergeant Frist Class Alfredo Cardenas is a native of San Francisco California, raised in El Paso in the great state of Texas. He graduated from Irvin High School EPT. He entered the United States Army in 1990 and completed Basic Training and Army Initial Training (AIT)as a Parachute Rigger at Fort Lee, VA.

His stateside assignments include Fort Bregg North Carolina, Fort Hood Texas, Hunter Army Airfield Georgia, and Fort Campbell Kentucky. His overseas assignments include Canada, Thailand, Panama, Ecuador, and Jordan. SFC Cardenas is a Veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.

His Military education includes Seniors Leaders Course, Advance Leaders Course, Warrior Leaders Course, Support Operations Course, Special Operations Training Course, Survival Escape Resistance Evasion Course (SERE 215), SERE High Risk Course, Airborne Basic Course, Parachute Packing Course, Airdrop Load Inspector Course, Jumpmaster Course, Air Assault Course, and Pathfinder Course.

 Sergeant Cardenas joined the Panther Battalion in 2012 as the AI (Army Instructor) and right away started to learn about how the Cadets and School operate. Sergeant Cardenas is the Panther Battalion's AI (Army Instructor) and watches over all teams during practices. Sergeant Cardenas always reminds Cadets to Strive for Success and always aim high in life and don't forget your parachute.
